It doesn't have a free trial download. It's Java. Presently runs only on 
Windoz 2k or XP.  However, like Freemind, there are some terrific ideas here.    (02)

Freemind seems to be back in development. That's good. As an applet, 
anybody can use it with any project.    (03)
