Tomorrow night (ET) on the Discovery Channel, the documentary "Searching
for the Roots of 9/11" by Thomas Friedman of The New York Times. (02)
(I wrote this down quickly after seeing the tail end of an interview
with Thomas Friedman on PBS ending at 2:30 p.m. EST. Mr. Friedman has a
good knowledge of the Middle East and expresses it well. He said
something like just leaving alone the Middle East with its exploding
population and present rulers, just treating it as a vast gas station is
going to lead to big trouble. Also brought up a concern of a Jordanian
friend of his that America is identified with Israel. Very, very
