Version History
  0.3 A couple of corrections, one addition
  0.2 Added bootstrap links, changed title
  0.1 Initial version

This page provides a collection of references on
  * Bootstrap Concepts
  * gIBIS/IBIS
  * Knowledge Representation
  * Ontologies
  * Organizations
  * Virtual Communities

This started out as one or two. But my searches quickly led
to a large number of papers available on the net. (It appears
we are not alone...) To that, I've added the references
we've seen in the Bootstrap discussions.

It would be really nice to get people's reactions to these.
That would help prioritize a reading list. I highly
recommend Jeff Conklin's paper on IBIS, for example. But
needless to say I haven't had time to peruse all the
references mentioned here.

gIBIS
-----
gIBIS is a graphical implementation of the IBIS concept.

Here is background on IBIS:

http://web.uvic.ca/~ckeep/hfl0104.html

Here is an abstract of Jeff Conklin's ACM paper:
http://www.acm.org/pubs/toc/Abstracts/tois/59297.html

This page has a link that appears to go the paper, rather
  than the abstract, but it wasn't working when I followed it:
http://members.easyspace.com/olove3/beleg/i_conkli.htm

A nice diagram of gIBIS concepts:
http://www.cpsc.ucalgary.ca/~kremer/tutorials/ConceptMaps/high/gIBIS.html

A summary of IBIS that mentions gIBIS and points the major
  difficulty with the system: "cognitive overhead":
