I wrote up a quick paper proposing that we adopt the BSD license for the
    OHS. It's available at:

        http://www.eekim.com/ohs/papers/whybsd.html

It originally began as a general license summary and analysis, but the
more I tinkered with that paper, the more I felt it unnecessary. The
licenses do a fairly good job of explaining themselves with limited
legalese, and annotations exist for the major open source licenses. I
would encourage all of you to read the relevant licenses as well as the
    Open Source Definition at:

        http://www.opensource.org/

Comments, feedback, criticisms, and counterproposals are highly
    encouraged.

    -Eugene
