I figure on using the SMTP protocol to get a synchronized
time from the Web. In today's environment, that makes sense.
It also makes sense to include author ID in the stamp, imo.
That solves the attribution issue at the same time.
In general, though, you are right. The solution parameters
are essentially the same. The mechanisms differ somewhat,
along with the details, but the general idea is the same.
