Actually it turns out that the above is not true, and even though it was for some other site, it is only so because lycos (unlike google) doesn't actually show the site that you searched for. (when looking at referrals)
Something else that is interesting about the lycos search engine, is that they've recently implemented a feature that allows you to see what else {others who searched for what you just did} searched for. Though, apparently, they just recently started collecting data, so this feature does not work very well.
