I'd suggested 'sid' for 'structure identifier' but I like 'path
identifier' better, and as I mentioned, since these are identifiers
used as prefixes to ID values, I'd prefer they contain 'id', so I'd
go with 'pid'. I hope nobody begins pronouncing that with a long 'i'. (02)
