I just got a copy of "The XML Handbook"

Highly recommended for "top level" overview (and a fair amount of
detail) and though somewhat "commercial" the sections that talk about
specific software applications are helpful.

Has a trial copy of FrameMaker+SGML and ArborText XML/XSL software.
