[ba-ohs-talk] The new me...
I have suggested something of this in a short little cryptic note
a while ago, but it's now time to make it official. I have a new
employer and a new opportunity to make a significant effort to help
make a successful OHS system. I am, as of January 1, an Assistant
Professor in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Dept. of the
University of British Columbia. I am in the Software Engineering
group and will be pursuing a research program that includes the
development of NODAL and an OHS system. (01)
As such, I'm preparing grant applications and planning a research
program. If any of you out there is in a position to pursue grad
studies, I have some funding and am looking for qualified graduate
students. Please drop me a line. (02)
I've actually been pretty busy since the start of the year with a
course that I'm teaching and a couple of student projects to
supervise (sotr of explains my silence). But I'm now ready to get
back into the swing of the online community here and hope that I can
make a contribution. (03)
