werken.xpath is an implementation of the W3C XPath standard, which is used
by the XPointer and XSLT standards. While useful as a foundation for these
other implementations, XPath is generally useful for extracting portions of
an XML document. werken.xpath is built upon JDOM (www.jdom.org) instead of a
more common and heavy-weight language-neutral DOM package.
